Our Story
Hi, I’m Jamie. Thanks for Stopping By!
I was the kind of teacher who eagerly embraced learning, joined committees to work with students outside the classroom and helped improve district growth. I gladly dedicated time to lesson planning and grading beyond school hours. I absolutely loved my coworkers and my career earning my master’s degree in 2010.
I married the love of my life, Brandon, in September 2011. He keeps me on my toes, spoils me, loves me through my worst moments, and wholeheartedly supports my dreams. I am incredibly grateful for his love and guidance.
I returned to work eight weeks after my son was born, and it was heartbreaking. I cried the entire drive to work and was always the first to leave at the end of the school day. I was no longer signing up for extra after school activities. I felt like I was juggling so much but not excelling at anything. I even convinced myself that my son might not fully understand how deeply I loved him.
Due to the challenges I faced as a working mom, Brandon and I set goals and worked hard to make it possible for me to stay home. I embraced playdates, mom meetups, and volunteering at school. While managing our growing family had its struggles, I was exactly where I always wanted to be- at home with my babies.
On a morning walk with Brandon, our dogs, and a cup of coffee, Brandon saw the potential in B&B. He asked if it was something I’d be interested in pursuing now that all of our kids were in school. Without hesitation, I said, “yes.” In that moment, I immediately slipped back into the mindset I had in 2011- a mindset so many mothers experience. I wanted to make a difference in mental health through words, because words are powerful. They shape who you become and what you believe. So, with that, we bought B&B and I dove into designing the Bamboo Sheets.
